The current Monkland State School Library was officially opened in 2011. The Library has an extensive selection of fiction and non-fiction books, toys and puzzles for all students to enjoy before, during and after school. There is a computer lab with 25 computers so all classes can be accommodated. Multiple iPads are available for class use to assist in conjunction with curriculum activities. Children can borrow from the Library from Tuesday to Thursday with each class having its own scheduled Library borrowing day.
The Library also runs fundraising activities such as Book Club and Book Fair with all proceeds going towards new books and resources for all students to use.
The Library Teacher Aide is Mrs Jodie Wilson who is in the Library from Tuesday to Thursday. Parents are more than welcome to come and visit the library on any of those days.
